Saxophonist & Composer
Saxophonist and clarinetist Gal Liraz was born in 1988 in Tel Aviv, Israel, where he first picked up a saxophone at age thirteen. He swiftly engaged in playing jazz, under the tutoring of the likes of Ofer Ganor, Amit Friedman and Amit Golan. He quickly started playing gigs in the Tel Aviv jazz scene.
In 2009, Gal moved to Berlin to attend the Jazz Institut Berlin under the guidance of Greg Cohen, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Peter Weniger.
He performs regularly in some of the city's most visited jazz clubs, such as Zig Zag, B-Flat, Donau 115 and Kunstfabrik Schlot.
